If you haven’t taken a trip to Thailand, we recommend you add it to your bucket list soon! Bangkok should be part of your itinerary – this exciting city has something to offer for everyone. These are the must-see spots in Bangkok:
Wat Pho Temple
Wat Pho has the city’s largest reclining Buddha, the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand and the country’s earliest centre for public education.
Chatuchak Weekend Market
Friday nights from around 8pm to midnight, several vendors, largely those selling clothing, accessories and food, open up shop in Chatuchak. Among the largest markets in the world, Chatuchak seems to unite everything buyable, from used vintage sneakers to baby squirrels. You never know what you might find!
Suan Pakkad Palace Museum
An overlooked treasure, Suan Pakkad is a collection of eight traditional wooden Thai houses that was once the residence of Princess Chumbon of Nakhon Sawan and before that a lettuce farm (in Thai, Suan Pakkad means Lettuce Farm). Within the stilt buildings are displays of art, antiques and furnishings, and the landscaped grounds are a peaceful oasis complete with ducks, swans and a semienclosed garden.
